Terms and Conditions

Sherpa is a self-help app for changing your relationship with porn by building the life you want instead. It gives you daily tasks, weekly plans, check-ins, AI chats, tools for hard moments, app blocking (Digital Shield) and a community (Base Camp). Some of it is written by AI, so it can be wrong or miss context. Use your own judgement.

Sherpa is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not an emergency service. Don't delay or skip professional help because of something in the app. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number or use the crisis lines on our support page.

You must be at least 18, or the age of adulthood where you live if that is higher.

• You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure, because it is the key to your Sherpa account.
• One account per person. Don't share it or use someone else's.
• Tell us at hello@sherpahabits.com if you think someone else has got into your account.

• Some features need a Sherpa Pro subscription. The app shows what is included and the price in your currency before you pay.
• Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Where a free trial is offered, you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before then. Apple or Google decides who is eligible for a trial.
• Deleting your Sherpa account does not cancel your subscription.
• If we change prices, you will be told before the new price applies, and you can cancel before it does.

Base Camp only works if it feels safe. When you post, reply or leave a trail marker:

• Be kind. No insults, harassment, shaming or hate.
• No explicit sexual content, links to porn, or detailed descriptions that could trigger someone.
• No spam, ads or self-promotion.
• Don't share anyone's personal details, including your own.
• Don't pretend to be someone else, or give medical advice as if you were a professional.

Posts are checked before they go live. We may refuse, hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, that break these rules. You can report anything that worries you from the post itself.

What you write in Sherpa stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (including with the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy) and show it back to you, only so we can run Sherpa for you. For Base Camp posts, you also let us show them to other Sherpa users. That permission ends when the content is deleted, except for Base Camp posts kept without your name as described in the Privacy Policy.

• Break the law using Sherpa.
• Try to get into other people's accounts or our systems, or disrupt the service.
• Copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, or scrape it with bots.

The Sherpa name, logo, illustrations, app and website belong to Aditya Dutta. You can use the app for yourself, but you can't reuse its content or branding without written permission.

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Progress › Settings › Delete account or on the delete account page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety stops us.

We work hard to keep Sherpa useful and running, but we provide it as it is. We can't promise it will always be available, error free, or that it will get you a particular result.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or harm to reputation, from using or not being able to use Sherpa. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Sherpa Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country that gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts, or keeps its own consumer protections in place, you keep those rights.

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. For important changes we will tell you in the app before they apply. If you keep using Sherpa after that, the new terms apply.
